The appointment for the people, who still believe in the magic, is Monday 8th December at dusk: it is the moment of the lighting of the biggest crib of the world.
15.000 small lights light on the hill of the 3 Crosses up, above Manarola in the National Park of the Cinque Terre, following a very long tradition.
The creator of this extraornidary spectacle is Mario Andreoli, retired railwayman, who uses the small lights to create 300 characters every year, that constitute the giant Nativity among the wineyards of the Ciqnue Terre.
The charactes of the crib have been built with poor materials and they are distribuited on 4000 square meters of wineyards. The lights, drawing the border, are connected with 8 km of cables and the whole composition is illuminated till the day of Candelora (on 2nd february)
